Central Clinic Behavioral Health awarded $25,000 grant from Charles Moerlein Foundation

Funding will support CCBH’s Adult Services resources and programming

Central Clinic Behavioral Health (CCBH) is pleased to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from the Charles Moerlein Foundation, Fifth Third Bank, N.A., Trustee.

CCBH will use the funding to support its Adult Services programming, including staff training and development, group supplies and resources, and provisions for its client resource closet. The grant will also cover non-billable clinical work for the Senior Connections program.

“We are honored to receive this generous grant from the Charles Moerlein Foundation,” said Kimberly Mages, Ph.D., CCBH president and CEO. “This investment in behavioral health services will promote lasting change for adults struggling with severe mental illness while strengthening our communities of tomorrow.”

Adult Services members receive individualized services for counseling, case management, group therapy, and prescription-drug management. Many individuals served are connected to CCBH’s high-impact programs, such as Culturally Responsive Services, the Transgender Wellness Program, and the LGBTQ+ Center.

CCBH, which served 14,698 patients in 2023-24, monitors the progress of Adult Services program members with the most significant impairments due to mental illness. Of those patients, 44% improved their symptom distress and 52% improved their quality of life.

The Charles Moerlein Foundation supports CCBH’s compassionate approach to behavioral health services that foster lasting recovery and resiliency in children, adults, families and communities.

CCBH has been a Cincinnati fixture since 1923 and is known for providing pioneering services that meet the unique cultural needs of specialized populations in the community.
